Our desire to assume responsibility for clearly articulating our ideas, suggestions, insights and needs. This principle also speaks to the necessity of being mindful of our body language.

SENSITIVITY TO FEELINGS
Our pledge to assume responsibility for active listening as a means of respect and validation of feelings expressed and implied. It is our belief that the handling of business is not contrary to acknowledging feelings. This principle also helps protect the spiritual component of our existence.

RESOLUTION
A collective caretaking which allows for space within the bounds of the meeting for individual members to achieve closure on matters discussed. It is important to be realistic about closure. The key is to honor the process and the time constraints. When necessary, unresolved matters can be further explored in a specified setting for the issue.

CAREFRONTING
Trusts our ability to flag discrepancies in our language and behavior. It is not a process of "pulling the carpet" from under our feet. However when necessary, with clear intent to support, not hurt, we will lovingly give a brother the information to rise above the state he is now in. This principle relies heavily on honesty, caring, thoughtfulness, and is designed to strengthen intimacy (as opposed to creating distance).

THE FIVE A'S
ACKNOWLEDGE, APPRECIATE, AFFIRM , ACCEPT, ACHÉ
This six and last principle guides all the others. The five A's constitute ideal dynamics to be used when responding to each other. It furthers the development of preserving the spiritual component. It should be noted that ACHÉ is the concept of Power and Empowering which reinforces the other four A's and is also the key dynamic by which the other four function.
